NVIDIA® GPUDirect® for Video technology helps IO board manufacturers write device drivers that efficiently transfer video frames in and out of NVIDIA GPU memory.

GPUs (Graphics Processing Units) are being used to accelerate complex and time consuming tasks in a range of applications from on-air graphics to real-time stereoscopic image reconstruction. Historically, however, getting data in and out of GPU memory from 3rd party hardware introduced unnecessary delay.

Datapath Image4K designed for professional, multi-screen and video wall installations, the Image4K is a very powerful graphics card, enabling scalable solutions, that delivers full 4K60 4:4:4 content over four HDMI 2.0 outputs. Fully integrated with Datapath’s graphical setup wizard, the Image4K is easy to configure for different combinations of monitors, projectors, or LED controllers. The Datapath commissioning team will be responsible for the installation and configuration of Datapath systems, software and drivers. These include: Installation of Datapath Graphics and Capture card drivers; Wall configuration using Datapath software; Datapath Capture card configuration using Datapath software. Software Drivers Datapath’s multi-screen display driver is engineered specifically for use with Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019. The display driver unifies multiple Image2K cards to present a single desktop canvas to the Windows operating system, allowing each video wall to display hundreds of output windows with full support for picture. NVIDIA® GPUDirect for Video technology allows 3rd party hardware to efficiently communicate with NVIDIA GPUs and minimize historical latency issues. With NVIDIA GPUDirect for Video, IO devices are fully synchronized with the GPU and the CPU to minimize wasting cycles copying data between device drivers.

GPUDirect for Video technology is available to application developers through 3rd Party partner SDKs and gives developers full control to stream video in and out of the GPU at Sub-Frame transfer times in OpenGL, DirectX or CUDA on Windows or Linux.
