The SmartSDR CAT application component is uninstalled automatically when you run the SmartSDR for Windows uninstaller. However, the virtual serial port driver, FlexRadio Systems FlexVSP must be uninstalled manually using the procedure described below. I have reserved a copy of windows 10 but am concerned about the power sdr software or drivers used, not being compatible. Has anyone had any problems with power sdr after upgrading to windows 10. FlexRadio Systems Knowledge Center. Windows tools, drivers and other information related to making PowerSDR 1.x operate under Windows XP.

Just purchased a used SDR-1000 and put it on the air. Get reception reports that both sidebands are being transmitted even though I have selected SSB. Switched between LSB and USB, still receiving station still reports my signal has both sidebands. Help!

Check the audio cables that go from the sound card to the SDR-1000 that (a) you have the proper channels (L/R) connected on the sound card and (b) that the 1/8' stereo audio plugs are firmly seated in the SDR-1000. ----- Tim - W4TME

Assuming that you have done a database reset and attempted the TX image calibration procedure that failed, here are three possiblities for lack of opposite side band suppression in the SDR-1000... Opposite sideband suppression depends on there being equal but 90 degree phase shifted audio signals applied to the SDR-1000 QSE ( quadrature sampling encoder ). You should first verify the you have nearly equal amplitude voltages on the tip to sleeve and ring to sleeve of the cable going to 'TO LINE' on the rear of the SDR-1000. If the voltages are not equal, you may have a bad cable, a bad sound card ( failed channel) , or something hosed up in the sound card driver. You should also see some audio voltage between tip and ring ( indicates a quadrature signal ) . If those voltages appear correct, then there could be a failure within the SDR-1000. HI, It is soft ware problem.Guess u r using Windows as the O/S.U reload flexradio/windows o/s. Problem of DSB shud get sorted out.We encountered similar problem and fixed by this method. 73 de vu2gsm

Problem resolved. Sorry for the long delay. Wanted to make sure. The solution was to upgrade to a later version of the Flex software. Then the unwanted sideband went away and I get good reports sideband supression reports now. I am now running V2.0.22.
